Here are my mutts

Here are my young mutts. They are a mixture of Phoenix, sumatra, yokohama, & cubalaya. They should look nice once they mature.

There is no rule against having more than one thread on a certain breed or about mutts. The thread can go here (it does fall under genetics, right?) or it can go in the Pictures and Stories area, either one.

Some of my favorite hens have been mutts, or MBCs (Mixed Breed Chickens). Some are familiar with the Poufy Head Sisters, who were sired by a Cochin/Silkie cross rooster over Barred Rock hen. Kate, Tux and Olivia are no longer with us, but I wouldn't have taken $1000 for any one of those girls.

Some of the most vibrant, colorful, and healthy birds I have been around have been mix breeds. I guess if you like chickens, you like chickens.
