'Mutts' possibly RIR x White Leghorn - Roosters?

All I know is the red hens will be very good layers of large brown eggs. I have some that look the same and r about 10 mons. that a great layers. LOVE - EM!!

lookiing at the website for the hatchery they came from, they have to all be crosses with their RIR roo and White leghorn hens. they had limited breeds that could have made this cross.

Cant be. White Leghorn don't carry the silvering gene to make the Sex-link.
It was the R.I. Red rooster X Light Sussex because the Light Sussex is the only breed they have that has the silvering gene.

One of the roos (yes, white) started crowing...or trying to, hehehe. Will the other crow too, or is it just one rooster that has that 'job'?

More than one roo will crow, but they hardly ever start at the same time. Roos with lesser dominance tend to crow less than the dominate one. And then there are the roos that don't crow much at all.
