I understand the trouble with weighing chicken (if you can get them to stand still). My digital kitchen scale only goes to five pounds. A digital postal type scale at Office Depot is pretty expensive (in my opinion) and as you say, bathroom scales are not typically accurate in teh 5-10 pound range, in fact I think mine won't register anything less than 15 pounds. I could weigh myself with chicken and without chicken, but I do imagine a typical bathroom scale is really accurate and precise enough to think this reliable. Not many bathroom scales weigh to the ounce or even quarter pound.
Anyway, if anyone knows of a cheap and reasonably accurate model scale out there, please let us know.
