My 10 yr old thinks our chickens like us too much!!

I just got my son off the bus a little while ago....well all the chickens decided to follow me there to the end of the driveway!
This is pretty far from where they usually roam and where there coop is. We took a walk in the field when he got off the bus and of course the chickens once again followed us so my 10 yr old says "Mom, did you ever think our chickens like us too much?? Is this even normal Mom??"

I was hysterical at this point!! Chickens and children are so funny, you have to love them!!

I know, they are the sweetest little things.

When I let mine out to free range, they spend much of their time on the patio with our dogs.

Right, they are the welcoming committee when you come to my house!! They come running up to give you a great welcome ( and hoping in return that you might have a treat!!

It's almost like they "understand" us.

Yeah, I think that is what it is!!

But it's still cool!! And we do spend a lot of time with them, so that helps too. Even the roos are all friendly.
