Wowsa. Who would have thought I could jabber this much??
Okay so here is what I have learned.
* Chickens are addictive
* BYC is addictive
* Don't take a wait and see attitude with illness. When you see it,
treat it, or cull it.
* Plan for a coop 3x the size you think you need.
* Don't leave dogs alone, untethered with birds. No matter how
calm they usually are...
* Don't tell my hubby about the eggs coming until they are delivered.
* Don't buy eggs off ebay unless the people are BYC'ers too.
* Learn all I can about each and every breed I have so I am prepared for what they will do and
how they will behave.
* Sometimes boys look like girls and girls look like boys
* The meanest rooster always tastes the best (Thanks for that one, Mikaela!!)
What's the next milestone? 5000??
Thanks to all the wonderful BYC'ers for help and advice and opinions. I have discovered the wonderful world of birds, something I had never planned or hoped for, but now couldn't imagine being without
Hugs
