My $12 Oops Chick

I get the impression that she might be an EE. Can you get a better picture of her comb and wattles? if the comb is turning red it's likely a male but I don't see any red from this angle.

No red to speak of... she's very interestingly colored in my opinion. She has spots on the back of her head which is kinda funny because she looked completely different as a day old chick.

That looks like a brahma to me, but I'm no expert
You know I had that in the back of my mind but from the pictures I've seen, Brahmas have more feathers on the legs. But maybe a mix? She's always been the biggest of the bunch. I don't know. I'm not sure I'll ever know. Haha. :)

At 5 weeks old I would expect a little more color and development in the comb if it was male. I think you may just have a pretty little pullet! ;)

Did she lose the feathers on her legs?
She still has them but they are extremely lightly feathered.

Not even sure if you can see it but the things that look like they could be lifted scales are actually feather stubs. They aren't full on feathers like Marans or Cochin. More like a baby chick feather.

Oh, she could still be an OE then. Guess you'll have to wait to see what color egg she lays. She is very pretty. I love that gold color in the neck and the lacing.
