Some of you may remember back about 10 days ago I droped an egg while candeling and was VERY VERY upset to have caused the death of my chick

At that time I had 3 EE eggs under my tiny broody silkie " tinker Bell" well........

a have a baby... a beautiful EE chick hatched just a few min's ago... Im beside myself with joy!! I have to share some pics of the new ( not so happy I was taking pics ) Mom and her baby!
there is still one egg under her but Im pretty sure its not going to hatch as it was pretty clear the night I candled them ....

Here is baby all dry and fluffy...
EE's are so cute with the little muffs....
It took about 2 hrs to totally dry

Makes me want a silkie! I had one broody hen, a mille fleur, that lost a clutch of eggs to a rat snake and I've not had any go broody since.

Oh my goodness! Having a broody hatch her babies is like having kids all over again!
