My 2 day old Pekin was born with a deformed leg. Is there anything I can do to fix it? 😢

Hello everyone!

One of our new baby Pekin ducklings was born with an odd deformity of her right leg. It seems as though the joint is double the size of the left joint, and the leg goes outward and she can’t stand upright on it because it turns out.
Is there anything I can do?
I’m keeping her separated from the 9 others with just one sibling with her, because she was getting trampled!
I’m very worried about her.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! 💗

It sounds like a slipped tendon. I would make sure that it is getting a balanced feed for ducks and also supplement niacin with B complex tablets 1/2 daily. Here is a good video to show stretching of the hock tendon, and hopefully others may help with splinting once the tendon is back in place.
