Only tangentially related to run build. I was so intentional about choosing a lock for my run door that would not lock on me accidentally after reading a few anecdotes about it happening to others. I did not plan for a devious toddler to lock me in.
My very mischievous 2 year old has recently been making a game out of closing the door on us. He finally figured out how to latch and unlatch the chicken run door. I was in the run for only a few seconds before I heard my toddler cackling and running away and finding myself locked in the run. The gap between the frame and door was just big enough for me to wedge my fingers through and shimmy the lock out. My husband and my 6 year old were also near by when it happened, so I wasn't worried. Though I thought I would try calling for the toddler to let me out. That did not work. He just stood by my husband acting as if nothing happened. The little brat. Everyone got a good laugh out of it.
