My 2nd Duck Hatch!

Egg #3, the one I was worried about, has a big external pip - in the wrong end! No wonder it looked wrong last night. Since it was able to pip I’m hopeful it will be able to hatch ok but I’m ready to assist if needed. I had 2 backwards babies last time so I feel pretty confident

A couple of the eggs have made second pips. Maybe they are starting to zip! It’s day 26 but I think I could have a duckling or 2 hatch tonight.

Perhaps! Tonight is a little early, but still possible. I’d say some will hatch tomorrow for sure

Yeah I think tomorrow is most likely. Probably they will hatch while I’m at my dog’s vet appointment I don’t want to miss them hatching!!

Saw a brand new batch of wild mallard ducklings this morning, and my baby duck fever has been ignited!
I want to see all the ducklings!!

Our ducklings can race to see who hatches first I hope you get some external pips soon. How many eggs do you have?

I was sure a few of my ducklings would have hatched this morning but none have!!!

I think this one is starting to zip though. I can see it’s little bill!

My dog, Brie is supervising. One egg, #18 doesn’t have an external pip so I gave it a pin sized safety hole in the air cell. I open the incubator quickly and mist in some water to keep the humidity high
