I don't have that chance, but I try to call the caregiver at least once a week and ask. He said he is good, two days agoI would check on him every few days to make sure he is aclamating and gaining weight.
I don't know exactly how much space he has for himself. When I visited last week, he had lost some weight. But I heard from the elderly caretaker that the rooster seems to be doing better this week, and I hope the caretaker is observing correctly. I guess if he wasn't eating at all, he wouldn't have survived until now. Also, most of the flock is kept in separate areas.My thought is the other chickens may not be allowing him to eat. Perhaps an additional feeding stations or allowing him to have his own space adjacent to the rest of the flock until everyone gets to know each other.
