of his brooder mates. I've read everything on here I can find about scissorbeak hoping to help him.

He gets a deep dish of oatmeal, yogurt, chick starter for breakfast. He can drink water well, and always has his beak in the regular food dish, but I don't see him swallow a lot. Tonight I gave him some chick starter 'n water and he ate a lot of that.

Should I be doing more so he'll grow faster? Maybe a couple drops of Poly-vi-sol a day, or something with more protein?

He's a really friendly guy, name is Spike - the oatmeal gets him so messy it looks like he has spiked hair! It seems like he deserves the best chance I can give him. None of his buddies ever pick on him either.

Those chicks just can't get as much nutrition as fast as the others and tend to stay smaller. Be very careful with him. He will rely on the constant daily feedings and if you miss one, he could die. (Speaking from experience here.

The Poly-Vi-Sol drops certainly could not hurt either.
