One of my 5 hens, Molly, died suddenly yesterday. The day before, she had been acting completely normal, but then yesterday she started acting strangely. About an hour after we noticed, she died. First, she was lying down in the doorway of the coop and visibly drooling, while her eyes were slowly closing and opening. I gently moved her, but she could hardly walk as she slowly stumbled down the short ramp of the coop and then lay down on the ground again. She slowly laid her head almost flat to the ground, and we thought we should let her rest, as we had no idea what else to do. We went outside 20 minutes later, and she was dead and stiff. We felt to see if she was egg-bound or had sour crop, but neither seemed like the cause. Please help me figure out what was wrong with her; I can't afford the vet or a necropsy. And I really want my 4 other hens to stay healthy. IMG_3249.png IMG_3251.png IMG_3253.png IMG_3254.png
