my 4-5 day old newborn is acting very strange and sick

I just woke up and the duckling is the same as yesterday. extremely weak, mouth opening and closing, and one eye just stays shut. i now have questions, as i now believe it’s definitely neurological, where do i get the vitamins and brewers yeast? and what vitamins do i give him? how would I give it to him? Thank you for your help.

You can get the vitamins at TSC and the brewers yeast at a health food store. TSC may have yeast because it is a common poultry supplement, but I wouldn’t count on it.

i can’t go to a TSC store because it’s 100 miles from me (that’s the closest one)

Regular poultry vitamins can be bought online or at a feed store - sav-a-chick, Rooster Booster, Kickin' chicken - all are basically the same, mix them in the drinking water. Brewers yeast can be bought as a powder usually in health food stores or a pharmacy. In a pinch you could use the tablet form but you would have to grind them down, just sprinkle a small amount over the feed. What % feed are you giving him? Ideally it should be around 20%, if you can find duck specific feed that's great but it's really hard to find.

today i put him back with his mom! he can eat drink run and do everything that a normal duck does! the brewers yeast worked!! thank you so much
