Recently I hatched 11 chicks. 11 chicks call for a new coop. Unfortunately it is winter here in Northern PA. That means it's COLD! The chicks won't stop growing, so I have to start building.

The coop you see behind the frame of the floor is my existing 4x4. I needed a bigger coop so I made the addition.

These pictures were taken at about 1 PM today. Since then I got the trusses for the roof up, and OSB laid on one side of it. Luckily we didn't have school today, snow day. I was able to accomplish a lot. Today, I hung the OSB. The floor and wall framing were done Sunday.

What do you think?

Great

Haha, yeah. 20 something degrees and windy all day today. It must be nice in Florida then.

Great work on your coop as well. Love it.

Oh not cool. That must be a pain to have to replace. What type of birds do you have anyway? How do they feel about the cold?
