This is my six month old EE hen from Ideal, and her chick she hatched yesterday. The chick is half EE/ half SL Cochin. The egg was laid by one of my older EE hens.
She is the third broody so far out of my batch from Ideal, and she is the only EE of mine that has ever gone broody. I have to say she wasn't the best at it though, she did eat two eggs along the way and crack the shell on a third. This is the only one that hatched out of six. The other two are still under her, not sure what happened with those.
