My 7 week rooster has a raspy voice!

My 7 week rooster has been experiencing a raspy voice! He has been eating and drinking fine and there is nothing strange about behaviour. He obviously hasn’t crowed yet so he isnt overworking his voice. Sometimes it seems he is rolling his tongue like ‘kurrrrr’. I am worried it is gapeworm... will diatomaceous earth help control gape worm, or kill it off completely? can gapeworm go by itself? I am not sure if he has a raspy voice or is wheezing... help!

He could be starting to crow! Cockerels spend weeks, at least, developing a reasonable crow, and meanwhile they sound just amazing.
