I am going to post here on my progress of trying to calm my silkie rooster down. He is 6 months old and started to peck my feet and is now chasing me out the door. I can pick him up and love all over him and he is fine with it no problems at all but as soon as I put him down he is back to the aggressive.
I have tried two methods so far. Tapping him with a stick is a no go LOL . He seems to get more aggressive. What has been working is sitting down with him and just being with him giving him attention and talking to him. He seems frustrated sometimes like he wants to say HELLO I am hormonal LOL. So I will let you know how it turns out and if I try any other methods. I can’t give up on my boy not yet 😊plus he loves my husband 🤪my male is the black one T’Pol (we thought he was female) and my female being the white one seven of nine

Very handsome rooster you have there. If you have him with several hens/pullets, I’d try walking around with him in your arms to “embarrass” him around them. This method doesn’t work for everybody, but it’s quite common and doesn’t hurt anyone.

We used that on our silver laced Wyandotte roo and I worked wonders!!
*edit, it worked wonders

what works for me to tame my silkie roosters is to grab them and press them to the ground and just barely shake them or just grab them by their feet so they can't do anything. it doesn't hurt them and they all back off; all I'm basically doing is telling them I'm the boss

Also, he is young, and as you said in your post, he is hormonal. Another option could be getting him more hens/pullets if he doesn’t have enough. Since he’s a silkie, he might not need as many girls. Maybe four or five. I mean no offense to silkies lol.

Wear jeans and shoes or boots, and there's no way that you should run away from him! You can try carrying him around, or sitting around with the flock, whatever seems to calm the situation down.
He should move out of your way as you walk through the flock, don't walk around him. Throw treats on the ground, don't hand feed, and I'm not sure exactly what you were doing with your stick, but definitely don't do anything that actually increases his aggression.
You can 'accidently' bump him out of your way if he doesn't move, maybe with your feed container, or water bucket, or something. It's not an attack, just that he happened to meet up with the object himself.
For every cockerel who 'reforms' there are so many who just get worse over time, and are a danger to every human in their path. If he's one of those, be ready to take action before someone is injured. Even the little guys can strike and cause injuries!
