The Golden State
I went to feed last night and that Devil was stalking me! Gonna have to watch him, 'fraid he's gonna get me, lol. I guess they are more likely to do this during mating season?

I also have noticed more eye balling going on from my males. I think its not only mating season, but with mine being more confined, I think they have less territory to feel protective over. One way to help with this is to try and handle your male more-pick him up, hand feed him treats etc. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm sure he'd be happier if he had a bigger aviary. He's one that I hand raised, so I'm not sure handling him will help... He looks at me the same way he looks at my dog before he attacks her.

I had the same thing happen with some barred rock roos-I was very sd when Ihad to re home them. This time I have 2 orpingtons (1 lav & one black split to Lav). From what I have heard, they are more docile...crossing my fingers. So far they have been fine and are now about 8 or 9 months old. Although recently they are starting to test each other. Roo-kinda like men; can't live with them and can't live without them!!

I thought all mine were stalking me at the same time, kinda freaked me out then it dawned on me after wearing nothing but camo clothing to work around here in i had a purple top with my hair down on and i guess they thought i was another male peacock. i went inside and put on my work ware and they were fine with me.

That's too funny!

I wear blue pants, pink pants, bright yellow pants, rainbow colored pants, and also bright shirts. I guess mine are used to seeing me look different all the time... My peacocks don't really look like they are about to attack me, they just follow me for treats and Peep pecks at me so I will pet him. I hope your peacock doesn't get agressive...

My dogs thought i was an intruder one morning when i walked across the yard in my red jammies i only where at christmas, i think they would have took me down if i had not called them down they were comming at a dead run hair raised and barking from out in the fields.
