O.K. I googled white leghorn rooster, and I see what you mean. I thought the earlobes were the little round white areas, but I now see the lobes are the things hanging down like earrings! It doesn't matter to me what he is, except that I may be getting rid of him and don't want to tell people he's something he isn't! Thanks so much.

Heck, I think Foghorn Leghorn was a barnyard "Leghorn." He never shut up; so that is a suggestion that he was a Leghorn - but then he wasn't always in hysterics so that's a point against his being a Leghorn - and it's a stronger one than his coloring.

Do Leghorn cockerels ever shut up?

Big Bird IS a canary. He sings, is bright yellow, and is wonderful. apparently wikipedia also thinks big bird is supposed to be a canary, though floats theories of Lark, Cassowary, Flightless Crane, or Ibis... big bird also claimed to be 'more of a condor' once... man I loved "follow that bird' when I was a kid.
