My animated avatar won't work

Can someone help me. I am able to upload the avatar, but the animation won't work.

What do I need to do to get it to be animated. it is a .gif file and when I view it outside of BYC it is animated.

I don't know about bringing it to life but it looks fine holding still!

If it isn't animated it is a problem with the file. Often animated gifs are too big for loading as a forum avatar, so that's probably the problem.

The file size is 39 KB, is that too large. The pixels are well below the 100 x 100 limit. It uploads fine, and displays fine, it just isn't moving like it should. It should be doing the "chicken dance"

Way too large. I think the max is 10 or 15kb to keep things zippy for all our dialup friends.
