My Australorp Rooster...

I have 8 Black Australorps. I got lucky with a straight run... 1 rooster and 7 hens... lol. Phew!!!
They are about 3 or 4 months old now. My hens love me to death. They all want to sit on my lap, and 1 in paticular, Charlotte, likes
to sit and nap on my shoulder for as long as I will allow it. My question is that my hens are very socialble with me, but since day one,
my roo wants nothing to do with me, and even runs, if I approach him. Can anyone tell me why this might be, and is this a good thing?

You don't want your roos to be too social. The real social ones often become aggressive later, so I will say that it's great he's not social now.

Yep, IMO it's a great thing that he's a bit afraid of you.
