Earlier today my little dog had pinned my big beautiful black austrulope hen to the ground although she didnt appear to injure her however she has been in shock since around 4:30-5pm tonight till now and its 12:35am. She keeps her eyes closed with her head drooping.....I did however get her to drink a little and eat a little about an hour ago but then she returned to the same state she was in. It rained a little here as well this evening and she has not even shook out her feathers to fluff them. I'm worried I have had a few other occurances in the past involving my Leghorn and she was even injured badly but still came out of the shock state fairly quickly. Please help with any advice u can give. Thanks

Sorry to hear this. If its also the middle of the night could exhaustion be adding to it?

With regular birds warmth and darkness and leaving alone to recover are the biggies I believe?

can you elaborate some? should I bring her in by herself for the night and how do i keep her warm without a heat lamp?

Maybe bring her out of the dampness of outside and keepher in a sage fontainer with some food and water and a fleece blanket?

I don't know with chooks but know with other birds say hit by a car and in shock you put them in a dark covered box in a warm spot if no heat lamp. I can't see why similar wouldn't work with a chicken.

Perhaps since you really need answered in a hurry try googling bird in shock instead of chicken in shock and see if you have more luck with ideas?
