My babies are becoming Buttheads!!! Help?

I'm a big meaninie and started pellets around 8 weeks.  They had to work at it but kept them busy.  Honestly, it's alot easier to scatter and keep them running and active.  Crumbs are the spawn of Satan (as far as mess) and I switch as soon as they can get their beaks on big stuff.

I moved my boys to scratch early and mixed it with the crumbs because they were *plowing* through the crumbs and acted like they were starving all the time. Took me a bit too remember that babies are never full lol!

I buy an extra head of lettuce for them. They get fruits and veggies that get forgotten. In fact, if they see me in the kitchen making dinner, they think I'm making their dinner. They'll even knock at the sliding glass door to remind me that they're waiting for their salad haha

Oi. Maybe I over spoiled them.

HAHA, yes this is also true. Is your Black Swedish from Metzer? Mine was the naughtiest and she's female. I curbed it by about 9 weeks by yiping and hissing enough to spook her. It had to be loud enough to spook her because any less would be a game.

Nope, but they are descended from Metzer stock! I have one that doesn't really bite but loves to pull on pant legs. He only does it if you're not looking at him LOL.

Watermelon! That's a great idea! I'll go pick one up today.

My ducks love watermelon! I will cut a big one in half, just like Heritagegoose said, and set it in the stream for them to pick at all day. I've noticed that they like it submerged too. They like to have to tip under water and nibble at it while holding their breath. I think it is like eating moss under water :), and they love doing that. I've also heard of freezing treats in a block of ice, freezing new treats a layer at a time, and putting it in their pools. That way, it keeps their pool cool, and gives them something new to nibble on as a layer melts in the heat. I've been wanting to do that, but I have to be careful what veggies the koi have access to, it makes it a bit more complicated :)

My boys are from Metzer, too. In fact, I drove out for the younger one since they don't ship one baby by itself and the original one has a seizure and passed.

The older one, Vino, went with us to pick up his new brother.

I've noticed a few Metzer trends this year that are reflected on BYC---smaller Cayugas, noisier WH's who are doing a color changing act, bitey Black Sweedish, and derpier White creasted. Funny how breading works.

Oh gosh. That is way too cute.
