Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I have posted (the last time was a few months back when I needed help for a niacin deficiency, thanks again everyone!!) My ducks have all their adult feathers now so I wanted to share some recent pictures! In the last week, one of my fawn and white runners has become very clingy towards me (the one pictured)...including running up the drive way at me as soon as I get home from work. I barely have time to get out of my car before she's there! :gigI have her as a constant shadow in my yard!

I also recently learned that my first duck (Pekin) that was a present from my neighbor is a Drake! He was given to me about a month before I got my runners and buffs, and he was the one that made me fall in love with ducks and want to get more! I am so excited, and I did have a suspicion because of his deep raspy voice (from all the reading I have been doing on this forum) that sounded much differently from the others. His curly feather just curled this week!

Lovely!! Is your drake the crested pekin? I have a crested pekin drake in my all drake flock. Mine is very bossy, but he lets me pick him up and cuddle him! Pekins are so soft and downy!
No, just a regular pekin. My crested girl was the one that had the niacin deficiency and how I discovered this forum :-D
