my baby 4 months is very sick, green stools...

My baby PenPen who is about 4 months or so old is very ill. Day before yesterday she looked lathargic. The next day she was all puffed up with her head drawn to her body, hardly would move around and felt warmer than usual (fever). I separated her and made her comfy. I have her some electrolights, vitamins, and an atibiotic. This afternoon she even looked worse. I administered more antibiotics and vitamins. She can't hold her head up at all and appears to be having some very tiny seizures. Is this Cholera? or could it be something else. I hate to see her in such pain...i'm getting close to putting her down if she doesn't pull out of this a little. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about your baby... Can you take her to a vet? The seizures could be due to hypoglycemia. If they are, you can give her some corn syrup orally. I've used it successfully on with poultry, cats and horses. With mammals, I rub it on all around the inside of their mouth, but with poultry, it' s too easy for it to go down the wrong hole, so I give it using a 1cc syringe into the crop.

What antibiotics are you giving her and how are you administering it? What does she eat regularly? Any chance she could have gotten into something spoiled?

Well, my baby is now in chicken heaven. She passed away the night after. She simply was too weak...thank you for your post
