My chicks are almost 3 weeks old. We switched from no medicated to medicated feed yesterday, after reading an article saying they needed medicated feed for the first month of life. I came in from work today and noticed them sitting in the brooder. I’ve never seen them sit before. Each time I have looked in on them since, one or two are sitting. Is this a developmental milestone or indicative of an illness? Dr. “Google” has me so confused.

What do you mean by sit? Like, lying down? If so, lying down is totally normal. Chicks don't need medicated feed. It's up to you whether to feed medicated or non-medicated feed.

Let me see if I can get a picture. I’m saying it’s sitting but that may be how they lay down. We are née at this. Feet are pulled under and body is flat in the ground.
