My baby got Duck raped

So my two Buff girls are now 3 months old. I have a Pekin Drake who is a year old. They have been sleeping inside with me until recently. We put a divider in their house and I happen to notice one night on our monitor that he was on the babies side. I went back to look at the footage and he literally drug her around for 3 minutes and 40 seconds. That poor baby, I wanted her first time to be special. LOL
Should I just let him have his way with her and get it out of his system? He could care less about the other baby and usually chases her away. I also have 2- one year old females Pekins that he takes advantage of on a regular basis. They are so much smaller than him and it seems to take a longer time to get his “fit” just right so he can finish. She doesn’t seem to be willing but yet when he chases her she will run away but then lay down. She also has been laying down flat for ME. I just pet her and give her kisses and then she seems happy.

3 months is too young to be having sex. She needs to be kept away from your drake.

She should be of laying age which is usually 4.5 to 5 months old.

Well, in the animal world it isn't considered rape... just copulation.

If you don't like his behavior you can rehome him or eat him. I personally wouldn't allow it. I keep my roosters separate until everyone is mature enough. I would be a bit worried that a young female could be injured by his behavior. Your divider isn't adequate. But I know you can see that already.

That’s what I thought but wasn’t sure. My husband says they are fine but I know they are not! I hope she will be okay.

Yes! I told my husband that the divider will never keep him out but he said they’re fine. Sometimes I’m over protective so I listened to him. ONCE AGAIN I was right. Thank you.

I would not keep a Drake that's constantly on his girls and breeds with ducklings.. keep them separated until the ducklings are.around 4/5 months old.

Yeah, too young. It's not unusual behavior on the drake's part, though. He sees her as a potential new member of his harem. Best to keep them apart for a couple more months at least.
