my baby is dying help!

I discovered this morning that one of my chicks was not moving I thought he was dead but then saw him breathing but quite quickly he soon woke up after I gave him water but now he is just sleeping breathing fast and barley walking and when he does walk he walks slow and falls over.
He is 2 days old and was perfectly healthy the other day running and eating fine.
does anyone know what this is.
I really don't want him to die.
Also the bedding in the brooder in toilet paper for now I wanted to add the pine shavings when they were a week old because I thought they might eat the pine.

Check his vent to make sure he doesn't have pasty butt. Do you have any electrolites to put in the water?

no he does not have a pasty vent and no I don't have electrolites

also ive noticed that he cant walk properly every time he tries he seems to go belly flat and legs going backwards

Could he possibly have spraddled legs? Take a bandaid and cut it in half and wrap around his legs. Make sure he can move his legs to walk. See if that helps.

I think that might be the case but at times he just flops over like hes dead and kinda gasps for a second then gets better

Try and hand feed him and make sure he is drinking too. I hope he makes it, good luck.

unfortunately he died but all my other chicks are well and have started to feather
