My baby is ill-- repeated head shaking and weight loss

Yeah, I'm hoping someone experience in chicken/animal husbandry can reply. I trust those more than deceitful vets anyhow.

I bought my hen a variety of medications to try, including Ivermectin for parasites, Medstatin (Nystatin equivalent) for anti-fungal in case it's yeast related, Amtyl as a broad spectrum antibiotic.

If I knew what head shaking symptoms were related to, I would know what medication to start with. I honestly don't think parasites or ear mites could cause this severe level of weight loss.

I've treated her with Baytril, and her stool looks better but no improvement in her condition. I used Baytril for the standard 10 days dosage time. I'm continuing the hand feeding, praying, and searching for solutions

Baytril the antibiotic didn't help, Nystatin the antifungal didn't either. The only thing I haven't tried is a dewormer. We don't even live anywhere near other livestock, and I just don't see how worms could cause such a severe illness and fainting.

Don't know anymore. Hoping God will intervene.

Been about 50 days now since your last post. How's your bird?

I have a Silver Wyandote that does the head shake (nothing even near as often as yours) once in awhile along with clicking the beak.
