This has caused some serious anger to me when I found out early this morning about around early seven o'clock that my baby chickens has been attacked. It has been taking me a while for my birds to grow because of the weather and environment they live in. The neighborhood is in peace, but their are a certain pack of dogs that usually come in the night around one a.m. My mother normally puts them outside in the morning so they can go outside. Eventually, my mother said she has heard some noise in the backyard and dogs came through the high fence, and started to attack the birds. They went for the younger set, but not the older. The younger set are two leg-horn and two (I can't figure out the breed of the other two.). One is badly injured while the other two are perfectly fine, but they are stressed out. I'm wondering for the badly injured chick, should I cut it's tail off since is half bitten off to wipe down the area. I know tails don't matter much to most animals, but can anyone say that this is a good idea or bad idea?
