Please can someone advise me on how to help my little silkie bantam. She was part of a flock I got recently with some ex-battery girls and 2 speckled hens. Everything seemed fine till about 4 days in. Sneezing alot from 1 battery hen who we lost 2 days ago. My vets given me co-trimoxaxole as they are all been together but the silkie is on few months old and has come out in hard white spots on her eyes mouth and the crown bit on her head. The eyes are worrying me the most as one has closed completely and the others looking like the same. I've been bathing in warm milk n one came off, great relief, but not on her eye. What can I do to help her. I've tried to upload a few photos but I'm new and not having much luck xx

Welcome to BYC! Are you in the southern hemisphere? If so, I think you might be dealing with fowl pox. What does the inside of her mouth look like?
Thank you so much for your fast reply. I'm not sure what I'm looking for but it seems fine. Apart from the spot on her beak xx

Welcome to BYC - sorry for the problems. It may be fowl pox or canker, but does not look quite right for either. Cheesy lesions in the mouth would tend to indicate canker. An onsite search for both will provide threads that may help with a diagnosis. Antibiotic ointment on the lesions for now should not hurt and may help. Good luck.

The spots were hard n white now turning yellow. Hoping that is because they are dying n falling off
