Welcome! I have my first chicks, but I've never used an incubator and hatched before. Did you find it easy to do?

Hello!
I used one of the incubators I found online that rotates eggs automatically. It was super easy and very exciting to grow them from eggs. Great science project for kids. However, it took aggrevating 21 days to wait. Also, you don’t know what you will end up with. So that can be exciting vs nerve racking?

There is a post here somewhere about trimming a cross-beaked chickens beak down a bit and feeding it wet mash. I think that will help her. Good luck. Poor thing.

It also helps if you pile her food up, she'll have a better chance of snagging some.

BYC had a support group for those with cross beaked chickens. Really a sharing of what works best with them. Maybe the search function can locate it.

I agree with the others about using a deep dish and wet food. Also, make sure to give her crumbles, not pellets.

Trim her beak and provide feed in a deep bowl - moistening it helps.
