when I crack the eggs, the membrane just beneath the shell is super firm and I have to punch through it with my thumb. I feed her laying crumble, they have a mineral block and free range at least 3 days a week. The eggs are very bland with bright yellow yolks and a bit of cloudiness in the white part. Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, or if their is something else going on. BTW she's only been laying for three weeks.. maybe that has something to do with it???

The eggs taste bland?

Backyard eggs tend to have much stronger shells and membranes than the battery chickens' eggs found in the store.
