Hi, this is my first post!
About 6 months ago I got two barred rock hens. They were just starting to lay. It was almost impossible to tell them apart, except that one had a more deeply incised comb than the other.
They've become excellent layers (occassionally laying twice a day!) and seem very healthy.
This past month, though, I've noticed that A) one of them as gotten much bigger than the other and B) the smaller one has become distincly BROWN and white rather than black and white.
They continue to lay and run about cheerfully.
Is something wrong? A vitamin deficiency?
I will try and post a picture tomorrow.
