Miss Jayne, of course not....wink wink. But seriously, I was supposed to get Sportsman for Christmas. I called one of our local feed stores a couple of months ago, and the Sportsman 1502 was around $600. I thought that was a really good price, considering what I had seen online. They were more like $750 plus shipping. I was going to get it, and decided not to because I wasn't hatching many eggs at the time. Well, Hubby went to get it for me for Christmas, and was not impressed. They have gone up to $800. Evidently they sold the one that was $600 a couple of months ago at that price because they bought it from GQF when the price was lower. Well, he looked at the bator, and seems to think they are not worth $800. But, it's what everyone uses, so they have to be worth it, right??? And I really need something, so I am thinking about buying it myself.Paula

actually, DH gave me the go ahead to get it for my b'day back in sept. i guess i was worried i wouldn't utilize it. now i know i would. especially since only local place to buy chicks and chickens closed!

i'm having an "I coulda had a V-8!' moment now. i shall discuss it with the DH when he returns from the workplace.

let me know if you get yours. many others swear by them here. ahhh! the agony!

okay the similarities are getting weird...i felt the same way and i got someone trying my horses out right now also...weird...maybe we can get a discount if we order together!
