I notice the leg bands,what do you use? I have tried nail polish chicks pecked it off

If I could give you some advice with you baby Orps. Handle them OFTEN. Hug kiss and pet them. They will become so bonded to you and wind up more like little puppies than chickens. They are so sweet. I am really enjoying mine and I know you'll enjoy yours too.

I was really worried about our 2 cats. They are BIG hunters and I'm so glad that the birds seem to be too big of a target for them now. I'm still a bit leary, but as the birds get bigger, I'm sure I'll be able to let my guard down a bit. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Yeah. It was quite comical trying to get the shot! First her jacket was too slick for the chicks on her shoulders to get a girp, so we turned it inside out. Then they kept jumping off, but finally I got a few great shots and this was the best. She a little sweetie. She just turned 7 on May 2nd. I can hardly believe that my baby is 7. Her sissy is turning 10 next month. It's great being a mom.
