Yes! Yesterday when I went to collect Goldie's egg, it was still warm! Non-chicken people just don't understand what a wonderful feeling that is!

And listening to the happy chicken song. Warm egg. Beautiful birds and thanks for the picture of the sunshine and green grass- we are missing that here. Collecting eggs is the best part of the day- it IS like getting a little present and the chickens are always so proud. I'm glad we can escape and enjoy the better things of life. Have fun cooking with your eggs too, and we have never had a neighbor turn down a little gift of brown eggs.

The eggs will gradually get bigger.

Your eggs look great! I love how the yolks of farm/backyard raised hen's eggs are so much richer in color, sometimes a deep orange even. Not only do they look great but they taste sooo much better than store bought too.
