My beautiful first egg!

After waiting for what feels like forever...my 24 week old RIR, Goldie finally started laying! She is the first of our flock to start laying. So far we've gotten 3 eggs from her. The are a bit on the small side which doesn't bother me at all...I'm just so happy to have eggs!

pasture raised eggs... yum!

This is our sweetheart, Goldie. She's definitely the nicest and smartest of our girls.

They are all very beautiful. Oh and your small eggs will get MUCH bigger as she continues to lay. Mine are HUGE now LOL

It doesn't matter how many chickens I have and I have a lot and get eggs a while now, but every time I find an egg it feels like a reward every time. Enjoy

Congrats on the first eggs!! It is so much fun going to check for eggs each day. My dh asks me everyday how many did we get and he loves he fact our two EEs lay funny colored eggs! Chickens are so rewarding I don't know how people complain about once they get them.
