I hope I am the only incubator addict out there who has had this problem! I use a Genesis 1588 incubator (the older style with the little toggle switches) and no turner. This hatch I put 60 eggs in the incubator, mostly over a couple of days. The hatch was about 90%...the best one I have EVER had. Everything was great...and I was so happy they hatched withing 24 hours of each other, for a change. They were hopping around, ready to be moved. I was getting ready to move them, went to the incubator to get them and....
they weren't breathing, they looked dead (this was within an hour of the last time I checked on them), they were totally wet...it was so awful.
To make this long story shorter, I got them out and fanned them until they cooled off...they began coming around and eventually all but ten or so were fine....they are a month old now and still doing well.
so...has anyone else ever had this happen?
