yea i had to run and do something and hadnt gotten to put the chickens up from free ranging since i was in a hurry and she was left outside unsuppervised with them
sad.png
so in a way it was my fault for losing track of time and having to run, so i blame myself and not her but since then shes gone after my other chickens so i think it might be time to find her a new home and i just love her to death to
sad.png
havent been letting the chickens range everyday for awhile now since i keep seeing hawks above

Don't blame the dog.

And don't get rid of it either. Dogs are more important that chickens, IMHO. Dogs are wonderful to have around, and I wouldn't be able to live without dogs. I have had dogs all my life, not a second without at least one. Chickens are easy to get and replace, for how cheap some of them are. Dogs aren't. Dogs will do that. They eat meat.

EDIT: And don't use a shock collar on the dog, because it killed a chicken. Dogs do that! It's not their fault. Don't punish it, for it's instincts.

BTW, don't take this the wrong way. I would be upset if my chicken died, but more so if my dog died. My chickens have a 10% chance of dying, for they are very much protected.
