I finally got some black jersey giants.

They were on sale at Rural King so my mom said we could get some.

I got 3 hens and 2 roosters. I sold 1 rooster. so now I have 1 rooster and 3 hens.

Good for you. I love JGs. I've had black, white and blue but sadly don't have space or time for them now but would if I had more room. They're great birds.

I had some trouble with space myself. That´s why I sold my young royal palm turkeys and my cinnamon queens. Next year I am hoping that I can get some brown leghorns.

I've heard browns are nice. I like black leghorns too. I had one that went broody often and raised a bunch of chicks for me.
I grew up with huge flocks of white leghorns.
Once you get hooked on your black JGs, you may want to look into the other two colors.

I have heard of white jg´s but not blue.

My black jg rooster got first at the county fair. I doubt my mom will let me get white jg´s but I would if I could.

Sandhill preservation has them.
I'll see if I can post a picture of one of my blues when I find it.

My Jersey Giants are laying really well. There are 3 of them and I get 3 or 4 eggs a day.
