The males will get black feathering around 3 weeks old, you'll know the difference by then for sure

These are the variations that I have right now. They are 3 weeks old on Monday.

These are the chicks my broody raised last year. They are 2 weeks in the first picture, you can see the dark wing tips coming in on the cockerel, 3 weeks in the second picture, black wing tips more defined, so on and so forth. All the pullets are very "amber" and stay that way. My cockerel just got darker and darker the older he got
