My bobs will be hatching in 11 Days!

Not including today. I can hardly wait to see how many I get, how well they thrive and their personality differences from the conturnix.

I got 29 set from JJ's Butlers. I'm going to candle them right before i put them in the bator.

Ok so I candled my bobwhite eggs this morning I got 19 fully developed and live chicks in their. I love how transparent those white eggs are compared to teh conturnix, you can see everything! So I got 38 Contunix eggs on lockdown to hatch tomorrow and 19 bobs to hatch Sunday.

I've never candled. I was thinking of candling my Bob's but I'm debating because how would you candle a 120 eggs? Seems you would have to leave the bator open for an awful long time.

I dont have egg turners so I keep mine in cartons and turn the whole carton. So i just candle one carton at a time on it's way between the incubator and the hatcher.. The first conturnix already hatched about 5 minutes ago and its yelling its little head off.

Yeah there are several other pips but They need to hurry up I hate it when one hatches way before the others and just sits there yelling all day til another one pops out. I want it to hurry up and be sunday im super excited to see these bobs hatch.

Got 19 conturnix hatched so far and bob whites pipped!

Got 7 so far they just started hatching yesterday. Whoot!
