I had a dark blue/grey game hen and a white/copper game hen that has been breeding with my Silkie roosters. They share the same nesting box so its anyone's guess whose eggs are whose but 2 baby chicks have been hatched out so far. Both chicks appear to be lavender with feathers on their feet. One chick appears larger with 5 toes. The 2nd chick is smaller with 4 toes like a standard game hen.
Curious if anyone else has ever bred game hens with Silkies? What did they look like fully grown?
I did have to cull the blue/grey hen because of aggression. Long story here. I'm currently hand raising the 2 chicks she hatched.
