I assume the unit could fit between wall studs in the big bird coop too.
How about flaring the top section outward for easier filling? and a angled flip-up lid to prevent roosting and it's mess?
What diamentions do you figure to hold a 50# bag of feed? 16"OC? 24"OC?
What's about a plan for raising the units as the chickens grow?

They stay in the temporary until they can play with the big girls! The Feeder holds about a 50 lb bag of feed, but I don't usually fill it up all the way.

Yeah I've been looking around on eBay also... wasn't sure if they were as good as the real thing, but it seems like many BYC'ers have used them and had good feedback!

Super nice work.I use the water nipples on pitcuers and hang them from the side walls.But I still have to fill every day or two.I must try this.What size pipe did you use?
