:)Yesterday, I lost a baby chick, there were only 2 that I had purchased which left only one.
Today I got another from the same hatching and even though its still daytime here, she took it under her wing.
I know it was a risk but she was nice and peaceful and had the other one underneath, so I placed the new one in there but because it was chirping loudly she knew I had one in my hand," Sprung"
anyhow she settled down again with the other one under her.
The new chick hasnt seen a big hen before as she was in a brooder. She needed help to know where to go so I tucked her in under mum who then cooed to settled her and just like a baby she settled down.
    So very sweet.
Anyhow Im so wrapped with the hen, she was only broody for 2 days then took the chicks in.
What a precious sweet hen she is!!
I just thought id let you know that it has been done with success.
