My Broody did it.....

Let me tell you, when people say that silkie's are the best broody's, they were right. I have a silkie hen that laid 2 silkie eggs and then went broody.
I have a silver spangled hamburg hen in the pen with the silkie's because she has no friends, lol. Needless to say, the ssh hen laid in the silkie nest box and she stole that egg. Well she seemed pretty determined and me being the big push over that I am, I let her sit on 2 ssh x silkie eggs. I didn't think it was hatch time yet, but I went to check on her and the eggs today and as I lifted her up I heard a little chirp. This is what I found.....

Oh I forgot to say that the other chick is just about out of the egg

My silkie / ? cross looked like a silkie chick, but didn't later on. I'll see if I can post before & after pics. Maybe you can help my identify the 'other' half

The pictures don't capture it, but she has silkie feet (5 toes, black skin), and the feathers on her feet are smooth like d'Uccles feathers.

Just wanted to let you all know that the second little chick hatched and is doing great!! I will post pic's later. Oh and 1 little detail before I go. The first little chick has normal skin, 5 toes and no feather feet, the 2nd little chick has black skin and 5 toes and feather feet, so I am wondering if the second little chick is pure silkie and not a cross?? Ok gotta run....
