Well folks, we are now into day 22 and not even a pip.

She wasn't talking to her eggs today like she was yesterday.

14 year old almost started crying today just thinking that we might not get any chicks.

His mom has said he can start hunting for an incubator. My mouth dropped open....so Melissa, once we get a bator, I'll be sending you some more money and you can put me on your list... also there is a "Jean" in NC who has some real blue eggs that my son wants to put in at the same time, but I think that they are true Araucanas rather than Ameraucanas. My son is just heck bent on having some pure bred Ameraucanas like Melissa's at Pasofinofarms.

I told him, "buddy, why don't you just register as a poster and you can talk to folks on the message board just like me." He spends lots of time reading here.

My 11 year old will also be devastated if we don't get any chicks out of those blue eggs. I told him that no matter what, if there are no chicks by Monday, I'd go buy at least two of something during lunch hour on Monday so Neckie can get off of the nest, start eating and start raising some chicks.

I am so sorry for the kids (and You). It is a dissapointment after 3 weeks of excitement. I believe your next hatch will be better!

You are right... and I'm feeling sorry for the poor broody, she has put a lot of effort into this without results.

I'm sort of confused - but that is not uncommon. On the original post you said they were due on the 9th - that is today. Did that get changed somewhere along the way?
