My broody hen keeps shaking her tail

My broody hen keeps shaking her tail. It is day 21 and the eggs will hatch soon. I checked for mites, but don’t know why she is shaking!!

Check her around the vent for lice clusters too. Often broody hens will become overrun with external parasites, so check her well.

Generally hen hatched eggs hatch on day 20. Hopefully you get something soon. She should be clucking to them in the eggs.
